They are mainly built for easy usage. Less weight is a major part of this improvement. This is the reason why it is built with small capacities in contrast to larger engines and other components.
Dyson pioneered a number of breathtaking features that have proven to be useful and necessary in the vacuum market, with such innovation being the Dyson ball. This feature replaces the conventional fixed wheels; it comes with a large single ball that increases mobility.
This leads to checking the dust capacity if you need to empty the Dyson canister vacuum cleaner often. Now according to manufacturers, the Dyson canister vacuum cleaner must be emptied as soon as it reaches its MAX capacity to hold dust and dirt particles.
Having a Dyson canister vacuum cleaner can be a lot of fun, but compared to other vacuums they can be heavy. But if you’re going to be carrying it up and down your stairs, to pick a lighter version.
Another important factor you need to know about Dyson vacuum cleaner is their price, yet while the price is important, we can’t assume that the most expensive brands out there are usually the best. Loss of adequate suction power:
Losing suction while vacuuming your home is a primal indicator that it needs to be cleaned. In such scenarios, your Dyson canister vacuum cleaner won’t perform as intended. When you notice clogged and dirty filters, you usually notice the sucking power taking a bow.
Another thing that can happen to the suction power is when the dust and dirt particles accumulate with time, especially on the rollers located at the base of your Dyson canister vacuum cleaner.
The rollers should be examined properly to be sure they are completely clear. Try and remove any dander, paper, or a larger portion of debris.
If you notice an unpleasant smell protruding from your vacuum, this is another indicator that there’s been a pile of debris, dust, dirt and other particles in the vacuum cleaner. Normally, all you would have to do is simply cleaning it.
Another cause is if you notice the vacuum cleaner producing a weird sound that is very different to the normal sound that it produces during normal cleaning sessions, and then it could imply that the Dyson vacuum cleaner needs to be emptied soon.
Most times what happens is, it tries to suck in the dirt but due to the bin being full it stresses the vacuum and it begins to sound in an unusual form, very different to the one you’re used to
Knowing the major signs is half of the job, what normally comes next is emptying the bin. Given that Dyson canister vacuum cleaners are somewhat different from other brands, you have to tread carefully.
But not to worry, if you follow this guide on how you empty your Dyson canister vacuum cleaner, you won’t have a problem.
How you empty your Dyson canister vacuum cleaner
So, how do you empty your Dyson canister vacuum cleaner, it’s simple, just follow the steps below:
First Step: Switch off
This would be the obvious phase; you have to unplug the vacuum, before emptying the clear bin. You should only empty when it reaches the level of the MAX point. Please don’t try to economize the dirt, don’t overfill the bin.
Second Step: Remove the Cyclone for clearing the bin
To remove the bin from the vacuum, Dyson built a button that makes this process seamless. Press down the red button at the rear of the handle of the cyclone.
Third Step: Release the Dirt
To release the dirt, simply press the same button, this time you carry the bin facing it in a trash can. When performing this task it’s good you don’t come in contact with the dirt bin.
This way you reduce risk of allergen/dust bb encasing the bin closely in a plastic bag, then you can empty it this way.
You can also remove the bin entirely; ensure the bag is sealed completely then dispose of as you’d normally do.
Fourth Step: Cleaning the bin
After emptying the particles, the next step to take is clean it before refitting. Although some users don’t take this step seriously, it’s equally important because come to think of it, it’s good hygiene.
Now over to the mechanics, to clean the bin, you’d have to separate the cyclone unit from the bin.
Since you’ve already separated opened up the cyclone unit where the bin is, you’d notice a silver button that helps separate the cyclone unit from the bin. Press the silver button to separate the bin from the cyclone unit.
When the bin is finally out, get a bowl of cold water, (cold water is preferable) to rinse the bin. When doing this, ensure you do not immerse the whole unit in cold water or dishwasher, also don’t pour water directly into the bin.
I should also inform you that detergents, air fresheners, or polishes should be avoided to clean the bin.
After using cold water to clean the bin, you then use a dry brush or cloth to remove dust and lint.
Fifth Step: Refitting the bin
To refit the bin back into the cyclone unit, carefully place the cyclone cover into the bin, this way the silver switch inside is automatically clicked and it forces the bin so it fits, and once they are joined you can fit the cyclone and the bin into the casing of the vacuum cleaner.
Note: Please be sure to check if the cyclone unit and the bin is tightly secure and sealed.
